Melissa Richmond is employed as a Substance Abuse Therapist II at Mount Olive Corrections Complex. She has over 10 years experience in treatment of offenders. She is a graduate of Glenville State College, receiving a B.S. in Behavioral Science with a concentration of Criminal Justice. She is currently a CCJP.

Melissa has been employed as a Substance Abuse Therapist II since 2006. Under her leadership the enrollment in substance abuse programs at Mount Olive Corrections Complex has been at an all-time high.

​

In 2009, the Commissioner of Corrections awarded her the Corrections Achievement Medal for redesigning the Aladrue Program Module for the entire Division of Corrections and restructuring the Inmate College Program at Mount Olive
